Cut Out

Pairing an eccentric pair of boots, is rather deceiving. I really wanted to sport my orange sweater, but wearing black seemed much more formidable...I should have stuck with the orange, but I'm satisfied with the outcome.

It's valentines day soon and the only thing I want to do is lay in my living room and watch a few love flicks, like Moulin Rouge..."he greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return".

Happy St. Tines Day.

Simple Toes

Simply stated, leopard flats are an effortless update to most outfits.

A purple top, black orange dress and a grey blazer....a white top and blue jeans....I can go on for hours. Now all you need to do, is buy just one pair. I searched high and low and found the best picks on the web. If you happen to own an even better one, I beg you to show me! This mix has been my life saver, time and time again.

After rather solemnly swearing up and down that I couldn’t get myself to pour sweat into focus with my homework, we headed to downtown SantaCruz and shopped our buns off. The sun was shining bright, so showing off some leg made sense. We had a party later that evening, so I sneaked in some pleather legwear. Common sense, I suppose. I probably looked a hot mess, but the colors looked gnarly. Am I the only one that’s super thankful for this drought weather?

Los Angeles

I've visited LA about 3 times now and I've got to say I'm sincerely impressed.
LA, is the type of place where you can grab a cup of delicious fresh brewery coffee and a box of sweet maccarons all in one street corner...The art, the food, the fashion, the selection of entertainment, it's all just a heavenly batch of angelic soup. I've always been fond of living in a small city, because I grew up in the Monterey's sort of like a larger Santa Barbara with a handful of family lifestyle, pine trees, tons of surfers and suburbia. LA is's not the way that most blogs describe it as...I'd say the better place to see tons of inspiring photos of LA is Instagram. Thankfully, LA is only a 4 hour drive away. I didn't know what to expect, but now I honestly can't get enough.

So far, here are some of my best moments:

Shoe Game at the Hotel Blvd in Studio City

Coalinga on Highway 168

Froma on Melrose
Bottega Louie in DTLA

Real Food Daily on Santa Monica Blvd.

Santa Barbara

Bottega Louie in DTLA

BEST COFFEE ever! Commissary on Fairfax/ West Hollywood

Once thing I've learned: there's always something to do in LA.

We get confused about where we're going and what we're doing because really amazing things happen in the middle of superficially great times in our lives.  The key to it is to stay focused. Stay true to you and what you want. Let go of your fear to disappoint people that surround you. It's true, disappointments only come from  those who never supported you in the first place.  If love comes in all different shapes and sizes, then everyone should understand where you're going in life the same way you understand their decisions as well.

While I was visiting my awesome hair stylist and friend  in Carmel, I stopped by my first Anthropologie  shop. While I was just browsing, I saw this incredible skirt in the back of the store. (in the sale section -shocking-)
And for the shoes, I found them while I was Christmas Shopping at this adorable little local shop in Capitola. I got my best friend the same pair in red. At least we are in control of a few things in life....what we do for others.

I know we constantly try to figure something out with our hair and constantly change it and damage it more and more and more. I have an issue with color. I either want it lighter, or darker. I finally found a solution that won't damage my strands at the same time. It's called "N Rage Demi" and it comes in over 8 colors. I started with blue and now I'm using purple. It's such a potent color that it literally doesn't require any bleaching. It's beyond incredible & super fun. I stick to an ombre finish, there's enough in that tube to do about 2-3 updates if you're doing a full head.  You don't need a license and it's as easy as applying conditioner to your hair.

As for my outfit, I decided to go for pants this new years.
Hope your new year is as great as as you planned for!

This was one of the looks I wore the weekend before new years. We spent it in our hometown by the sea and it was quite wonderful. Now that it's the new year, I'm excited to see all of the new looks, makeovers and new hair cuts. I've noticed instagram and tumblr is pretty rejoiced with new cuts and styles...dont be afraid to try something new. We dont know what's out there waiting for us, but whatever it is, look for it! & if you need company, take someone that makes you a better you, instead of changing you into someone you are not!

My two cents. Happy New Year! Goodluck <3

Right after Christmas, we tend to mellow out, wrap up the household and put away our trees (or throw away for others). This is also the perfect time to start preparing for the new year, just like we prepare for a new day. Besides picking out our outfits, and leaving our purses ready by the door...leave your mind free of worries and leap into the new year without any regrets, without any grudges or conflicts. Make amends and (if you haven't already done so) do everything that makes you happy.

Keeping the spirit alive by wearing red. I absolutely fell in love with this top. From afar it seems sort of baby dollish but it fits so well. It also comes in black sequin, which I sort of died for. I'm all about showing some skin and covering up in other ends. I really admire women that can pull off a size up and still be and feel sexy. Instead of going a size down, and feeling like we can't breath, go a size up and meet with a tailor to give you just the right fit.

Merry Belated Christmas!

Right after this shoot, I finally took the plunge and fled off to Los Angeles. I had to get a taste for what it is, a city of dreamers. Depending on how we see our vivid lives, taking a plunge is a necessity. A necessary taste for adventure. It was amazing, exactly the way it's laid out in photographs, movies and books. Obviously, two days was not enough to oversee an entire array of cities, but it was enough for me to go back in the next few weeks.

According to my google maps, I am 5.45 hours away, and I made it in 3.5...I'm guessing the traffic patrol has a waiver on my average driving, or google maps was meant for the "slow" drivers. Don't let anything stop you from making your lives brighter.

Just in case you can't find something to wear, black on black is always better. Wear pants, everyone wears shorts over there.

We often find ourselves wondering what our resolutions are for the end of the week, the end of the month check list and even the beginning of a new year wish to be a better you...resolutions are sort of a mythical eraser that can provide a transparent beginning for a better future. In hand, it can also replace the current over time. Sticking to your guns and knowing that you deserve better, is always a priority.

As for mine, I need this scarf in every color. Cashmere never felt so good.

I try to create an environment for my looks so that I can give you a little story to go by when you're wondering "oh what should I wear to wander the forest" lol

On another note,  I've been obsessed with the idea of moving to Los Angeles but I just bought a house up here so Im planning on commuting back and forth. Any resources? Holler. Always remember to follow your dreams, don't just ponder on them.  Happy Monday!

Sometimes things don't go as planned. Letting go of your limited possibilities to explore the unlimited possibilities is usually the hardest and simplest decision you can make.

This red on red ensemble was influenced by the holidays. But of course, if you've got the pieces for it now, wear it to school, wear it to work, wear it to pick up some groceries! Explore your un-limitlessness!

One of the funnest things that I enjoy doing with style is flirting with fabrics. I'm notorious for wearing skirts & shirts and making it seem like it's an in-findable dress. So I put these three looks together to show a quick alternation between a dress, a sweater and a skirt. These looks can also be done with longer sweaters and longer skirts, so don't be afraid to play with items and give them life!

I just started watching House of Versace on Lifetime and it's so relaxing to kick up my feet after a long day of work. I'm still exhausted from my weekend landscaping troubles. That reminds me, I've found something so simple and easy to use for anyone trying to update their yards! I'll write about it soon! Click see more after the next photo to get up close and detailed with all three looks!

A white blazer is one of my top must have items for any wardrobe. It's a scary item to many because it's so vibrant and it sticks out like a sore thumb. I consider it a staple because of it's grown up cool those Miami Vice folk. Sometimes pairing different textures and graphics really tones it down so I paired my blazer with leopard court shoes and a cotton striped shirt
to make it more "casual" (Relaxed & suitable for everyday wear rather than formal occasions)

In case you're not following me on instagram, I have a beautiful necklace giveaway going on! Come and follow my instagram here to find out more about it!
