Fashion Runway Friday Night

Oscar De La Renta Spring 2013

(First off, I LOVE the pink detail on the hair! Thank you Orlando Pita!)

On various occasions, I have the opportunity to zone out my mind and tune into trends of the now. This "occassion" typically comes in on a Friday night. I heard about Kerry Washington's looks at the 2013 NAACP Image Awards and so my fist stop to stalk was Oscar De La Renta. It's interesting to find that beautiful pink gown because of the intricate detail on the fabric. When it comes to silk the fabric is dyed in two fine grades to create that beautiful shimmer that seems like that inside of a rose petal (different colors on either side). So when I saw that it reminded me of a fabric I bought, but the opposite of the color, it's more of a dark aqua; super pretty! I'm hoping to finish what I was making so that I can show it off to you!

The jumper and the beautiful silver blouse and skirt are so classic. I will NEVER ever ever get tired of classic items. No matter your age, as long as you feel it, you own it. Of course, there are far more alternative options to style on someone younger than 18 y.o.

Plaid has been attracting my attention for a lifetime, so the mix of yellow and plaid print just makes sense in so many ways. Summer or winter, this is the beauty in finding the right print, it just works.

Lastly, the striped gown is EVERYTHING! I mean, WOW, it's ridiculously beautiful! I'm thinking of doing a serious DIY on this one. We'll see if time catches up to me!

Below, you'll find Kerry's look. She looks amazing plus one. The gown, the styling and the attitude just seem right with Kerry. That woman has got the perfect persona, everything she wears still makes her seems so mysterious. Isn't that always the main goal ?

with love, Teresita.
